I’ve designed and managed projects ranging from huge commercial and institutional buildings to small cottages and home renovations. Throughout my career, the projects that give me the most personal satisfaction are those I do with homeowners.

An hour or two with an experienced design professional can open up ideas and solutions that transform a project. I invite you to hire me to consult with you on a limited hourly basis on such questions as:

• Is this the right layout for my kitchen?

• Is there a way to make this addition smaller but still big enough?

• What will this space feel like?

• What would make this design more environmentally sustainable?

• How can I get more usable space out of this footprint?

• Should we move, or can we make our current house more livable?

• What changes would make our house better match our needs?

During our time together, I will ask you questions to learn about your project, respond to your drawings or photos (if available), answer your questions, and work with you to find solutions to the issues you face. The consultation can take place by telephone or video (Zoom) — your choice.

$155 per hour.
